As the development for an H1N1 Influenza A (swine flu) vaccine continues, personal hygiene, including hand hygiene, remains a top priority in preventing the spread of the virus. Here are some very simple steps you can take inside your facility to STOP Swine Flu: 1) Post signs that stress the importance of "Hand Washing" throughout your facility. Hand washing is one of the most important componants in stopping Swine Flu. Be careful not to touch your face with your hands. Hand washing is only effective if done with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds or more. We think that Purell makes some of the very best hand sanitizer equipment that especially designed for the Workplace. Some highly contagous areas include keyboards, computer mice, and telephones. It is important to provide the right chemicals that ensure that 100% of the germs are killed upon contact. Some chemicals claim to kill germs but only do so after about 10 minutes of dwell time.
